The environmental protection measures of the WorldExpo have affected China's printing
the 2010 Shanghai WorldExpo has come to a successful conclusion. The concept of a low-carbon Expo was put forward for the first time in this WorldExpo. In the process of preparation and holding, the wisdom and practice of low-carbon development of all countries in the world gathered in one park. As an important basic process, how does printing participate in this low-carbon Expo? In the post WorldExpo era, what inspiration should the printing industry receive from the crystallization of the global low-carbon concept? In order to analyze these problems from a professional point of view, the publishing product quality supervision and testing center of the General Administration of publication (hereinafter referred to as the quality inspection center of the General Administration of publication) commissioned and funded Shanghai University of technology to carry out a three-month special research on the effects of low-carbon WorldExpo and post World Expo Green Printing in the second half of the Shanghai WorldExpo. The completion of the subject report at the end of December 2010 marked the preliminary end of the special research
low carbon technology and industry is one of the core embodiments of the concept of low-carbon Expo. The case of connecting low-carbon Expo with industry development and conducting on-site research and in-depth research on the park during the Shanghai WorldExpo has not appeared in other industries, and this is the only case of such a high-level low-carbon Expo effect enlightenment research in the printing industry
origin: the three parties hit it off immediately
Wang Xiaohong told that it was the General Administration of publishing and the Ministry of environmental protection that officially signed the "strategic cooperation agreement on the implementation of green printing" in Beijing on September 14 last year, which initially triggered the impact of their unified management experimental results and experimental reports, and took green printing as the main direction of the future development of China's printing industry. As a higher research institution specializing in publishing and printing, how to intervene in the next stage of the development and transformation of China's printing industry and do pioneering exploration work for the development of industries and enterprises is also the research direction of the school of publishing, printing and art design of Shanghai University of doors and windows technology. The Shanghai WorldExpo first proposed the concept of low-carbon Expo. Low carbon has become one of the three themes of the Expo, and printing is an important basic process. How can it participate in it, such as "partner", and what enlightenment will the low-carbon Expo leave to the industry? Wang Xiaohong said that the school teachers had thought about these problems from a professional perspective in advance, but they never rose to the height of becoming a special research
at the same time, their ideas were supported by the printing management office of Shanghai Publishing Bureau, and gave guidance to this brewing topic from the perspective of technology and market development. On October 11, 2010, Qi Xiangtong, director of the quality inspection center of the General Administration of China, who came to attend the unveiling ceremony of the green creative printing industry demonstration park in Jinshan District, Shanghai, also expressed great support for this. He believes that the research on this topic will be of pioneering significance for the printing industry to get rid of its reputation of not environmental protection and improve the impression of the outside world on the industry
Wang Xiaohong said: under the agreement of so many events, the quality inspection center of the General Administration of quality supervision and inspection, Shanghai University of technology and Shanghai Publishing Bureau immediately agreed to hold the signing ceremony of the special research project on the post World Expo effect of low-carbon Expo and green printing on October 28, and officially established the research group. The GAQSIQ Center signed a commission agreement with the school of publishing, printing and art design of Shanghai University of technology on the special subject of low-carbon Expo and post Expo effect of green printing. The GAQSIQ center commissioned the college to systematically understand the development status of green printing industry through on-site investigation of the Expo; Scientifically predict the future development trend of green printing industry; Discuss the connotation and evaluation index of green printing
process: three groups went deep into the park
according to Wang Xiaohong, before the formal signing of the three parties, Shanghai University of technology carried out on-site research in the Shanghai WorldExpo park on the division of three groups in September. In the first group, about 14 teachers went deep into the Shanghai Expo Park to understand the innovative green printing concepts and products in the Expo Park, including brochures, packaging, architecture, etc., and discussed and analyzed materials related to printing. For example, part of the functions of the solar circuit board in the Expo Park are realized through the printing process, and only the "Star Materials of the 21st century" section such as printers can realize benefits at cost
the second group is composed of nearly 100 student volunteers majoring in publishing and printing and communication at Shanghai University of technology
thanks to the identity of Chinese cabbage, in the venues they serve, these students start to investigate and accumulate on-site materials in combination with the theme of the topic, and find relevant materials
the third group went to Shanghai Jinshan national green creative printing demonstration park and other units that can better practice low-carbon and green printing to exchange, investigate and collect typical experience. Wang Xiaohong told that the scope of low-carbon and environmental protection is not the same. Environmental protection focuses more on products that are not harmful to the health of users, while low-carbon has a broader meaning, from plant design to construction management and decoration, the reduction of carbon emissions in production and the recycling and reuse of products. While paying attention to results, it also pays attention to low-carbon environmental protection in the production process. Therefore, they hope to promote some enterprise low-carbon measures to the industry through the research platform of the research group
enlightenment: the follow-up research needs to be implemented concretely
although the report of the whole thematic research has been completed at present, the real implementation of environmental protection and low carbon has just begun, because the significance of putting forward the report is not to produce a technical scheme, but to put forward a framework and direction for the low-carbon development of the printing industry. In the future, we will carry out the follow-up research step by step and project by project. Wang Xiaohong said. For example, in the process of the development of green printing in China, many enterprises certified by green printing will be born, and the basis of certification also needs to be specific and implemented. At the same time, this topic has also made a useful exploration on how to build a more smooth cooperation platform between the government, schools and enterprises
however, there are still some deficiencies in this survey. Wang Xiaohong said that due to the lack of time and the business secrets of enterprises, the research group had less exchanges with green printing enterprises and did not absorb more enterprise experience. It is reported that the printing materials of many venues are made by domestic printing enterprises, but because the subject does not officially start at the opening of the WorldExpo, it cannot participate in the actual production and operation of printing materials in various countries. This also gives some enlightenment on how to better plan in advance and carry out research on relevant topics of major projects in the future
